A couple months ago I finally happened upon Etsy, thanks to a blogger friend of mine. I had heard the name before but nothing that prompted me to check it out. When I finally landed there I knew I found a new home. I have always wanted to have an outlet for all the arts and crafts I spend my time on. Now I have an excuse to make paper and turn them into cards, create fun hair baubles, design lots of fun necklaces and build some way cool lamps. I certainly don't have room for them here! Now I can offer them to people who want them. There are only so many things I can make for family and friends. So, today Intertwingle was born. Pictured are the quick avatar and banner I put together for my shop. Actually I think I like it--I may just leave it like this. I can change the colors and backgrounds to suit my moods. It may work out well.
My own online marketplace for all the things I make with my own two hands. It not something I really thought I'd be doing a month ago, but it has always been in the cards for me and thanks to Etsy it is super easy, now all I have to do is get busy in my studio! I got my shop up and running today a wee bit late for this holiday season, but hopefully by next year I'll be established, experienced and ready for a successful Cyber Monday.
Over the Thanksgiving holiday I worked on making some quick and fun ponytail holders to test the Etsy waters with. Check out some samples in the first column to the right. You can visit my shop at www.intertwingle.etsy.com. I will be adding to it all the time so check it out often. This is by no means a Grand Opening but I am on my way. There are only exciting things to come.
