Hard to believe that it has only been and has already been six years. Being married to my best friend, the best man, husband and now father that I know has been a privilege and thrill. He is the most thoughtful person always doing little things that remind me constantly how important I am to him. This is our second anniversary as a family of three, life just keeps getting better.
Sadly this picture didn't work out. As we drifted past this spot the most perfect shadow of us in our canoe and well as our reflection on the water was cast upon the rock. The water was so clear that the sun actually picked up our reflections and cast them as shadows too. It really was amazing. We actually paddled upstream to try to recapture it, it didn't work. Noting it here will help me always remember. It is the only picture we got of the two of us together aside from our feet.
We spent the evening canoeing just the two of us: great company, food, chasing fireworks it was off-beat and relaxing. This morning was one of the best mornings ever. Our little truffle awoke early, we danced, sang, took a walk, did some gardening, played, enjoyed mimosas (we adults) and the wee one enjoyed discovering freeze dried strawberries.
The champagne flutes from our wedding day. I adore them!
Now we are going to enjoy a little siesta. I have to send a thank you out to my darling for the best 6 years, I hope we get to have 66 more.
